Community Events

Saturday, April 1, Community-Wide Shred Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former Park Inn by Radisson, 5401 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg. Residents of the 88th and 87th House Legislative Districts, as well as residents of the 34th Senate District are invited to a free shred event. Residents may bring up to five boxes to shred. Boxes will be returned after shredding. We cannot accept shredded paper, three ring binders, plastic, carbon paper, metal, food wrappers or blueprints. This event is hosted by Rep. Sheryl Delozier, Sen. Greg Rothman and me with supporting sponsors Pennsylvania American Water and Cumberland Valley Insurance.

Thursday, April 20, Property Tax/Rent Rebate event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Amelia Givin Library, 114 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt Holly Springs. My legislative office staff will be on hand to help you fill out and file the necessary forms. Please bring your ID, proof of income, and property tax receipts or rent certificate used when filing 2022 tax returns.

The rebate program benefits Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older. The qualifying income limit stands at $35,000 per year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters, with half of Social Security income excluded.
