Kutz Announces $3.7 Million in Grant Funding for 87th District Projects

HARRISBURG – Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland) announced $3.7 million in combined grant funding from the Local Share Account (LSA) and Public School Facility Improvement (PSFIG) grant programs. These grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today for projects that impact the 87th Legislative District.

Kutz Bill to Extend Vehicle Inspection Grace Period Advances

HARRISBURG- On Monday, the House Transportation Committee unanimously approved House Bill 1436, authored by Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland). Kutz’s legislation would extend the non-commercial vehicle repair grace period to 15 days, which is the time allotted for commercial vehicles and buses.

Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland) is partnering with YWCA Carlisle and Cumberland County, Upper Allen Township, Upper Allen Woman’s Club, Greenlight Operation, She’s Somebody’s Daughter, and Peace Promise to host “Where Does Human Trafficking Start?” a workshop to boost awareness about human trafficking and educate parents and caregivers in the 87th District about internet safety for children.

Kutz Announces “There Ought to Be a Law” Contest Winners

HARRISBURG- To encourage civic engagement among students in the 87th District, Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland) hosted a “There Ought to Be a Law” contest for fifth-grade and high school students. Participants submitted individual proposals for laws to address various issues people face across the Commonwealth.

Delozier, Kutz and Rothman to Host Community-Wide Shred Day

Greg Rothman (R-34) will host a community-wide document shredding event for residents of their House and Senate districts who reside in Hampden or Silver Spring townships. The event will be held on Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Kohl’s parking lot at 6444 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg.

Kutz to Host Bridge Dedication for Fallen Firefighter Jerome Guise

WHAT: Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland) will be hosting a ceremony dedicating the bridge carrying Route 34 over Mountain Creek in Mount Holly Springs in honor of fallen firefighter and community hero Jerome Guise. Guise gave his life in service to the community on March 9, 2020, when the porch of a house collapsed during a two-alarm fire.
