Kutz Announces Over $1.65 Million in State Grants for Cumberland County Infrastructure Projects

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland) today announced the approval of more than $1.65 million in state funding to support critical water, sewer, and transportation improvements in the 87th Legislative District.

The following grants were awarded.

PA Small Water and Sewer Program:
• Silver Spring Township, $300,000 for improvements to the Woods Drive storm sewer.
• South Middleton Township Municipal Authority, $300,000 for replacement of the water main along Walnut Street.
• Mount Holly Springs Borough, $190,718 for rehabilitation of the Orange Street sewer.
• Monroe Township, $300,000 for improvements to the Southern Sewer District.

Multimodal Transportation Fund Program:
• $560,896 for improvements to Boiling Springs Road in Monroe Township.

“The grants approved today will strengthen essential infrastructure, improve public safety, and support economic growth throughout Cumberland County,” said Kutz. “I’m proud to help secure these investments and resources for our communities.”

The funding for these projects was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
