HARRISBURG—Silver Spring Township in Cumberland County was today awarded a Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) grant for road improvements along Main Street at the Village of New Kingstown, according to Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-87) and Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34).
“Cumberland County is full of great communities in which to live, work and raise a family, and its population is among the fastest growing in the Commonwealth,” said Kutz. “I was glad to advocate for this project, which invests state dollars in an expanding community to improve roadways for current and future residents of New Kingstown.”
“Ensuring the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists on our roadways is important,” Rothman said. “This project will improve safety for all who travel in and around New Kingstown.”
The funding for these grants was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
