—The Cumberland Perry Area Career and Technical Center (CTC) was awarded a state Competitive Equipment Grant, according to state Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland). The technical school is located in the 87th Legislative District, which Kutz represents.
“Careers in the trades are hugely important to our economy, and it’s critical that we provide prospective tradesmen and women with every tool available to learn and train using the newest equipment available,” said Kutz. “I am excited that students in my district may now have access to cutting-edge equipment to prepare for high-demand, high-paying careers in the trades because the school will be able to purchase new equipment with this grant. It’s great to see access to new opportunities being unlocked for our local students.”
Cumberland Perry Area CTC will receive $60,000 under the Competitive Equipment Grant program. The school is one of 55 to receive an award under this program.
